First some housekeeping.

You will notice a few changes on the website. We have changed the front page to reflect our focus on health, fitness and wholeness topics.

The Episodes tab on the menu has a third option, Directory – All Episodes. Clicking on this tab will take you to a list of all episodes, with links to the video version in one column and the audio in the other. It will display 30 episodes per page and the ability to select more pages at the bottom.

The latest video or latest audio tabs or buttons in the header will display the most recent episodes.

We are now using the Spikes Studio app to produce shorts of each episode which you will see on social media.

We hope you find these changes helpful in navigating our website. Please let us know if you have suggestions or ideas to make your visits easier.

This week, we are featuring “Bump In The Road” by Pat Wetzel our guest from episode 309. The book has 15 stories about courageous people who survived serious adversity or “bumps in the road” as Pat calls them. Pat has already overcome more bumps in her road than most would do in many lifetimes.

Health Corner

Kathleen spoke about the pitfalls in assuming that all plant-based foods are healthy. She provided statistics on the health risks associated with consuming highly processed plant-based foods. Peter mentioned that sugar is often added to processed foods to improve texture and “mouth feel” in addition to adding sweetness for taste.

Kathleen’s health recommendation this week is Dr. Morse’s Heal All Tea. It contains, Dandelion, Burdock and many other beneficial herbs. Dandelion has been used for 1000s of years as a natural antihistamine.
